Research Assistant Position Available

A part-time/full-time research assistant position is now available in the Centre for Arthritis and Rheumatic diseases, Education Research Centre, St Vincent’s Rheumatology Hospital and Molecular Rheumatology, TCD. The main focus of the research is to investigate the key mechanisms involved in synovial invasion, immune cell dysfunction, metabolism and joint destruction.

Duties will include

  • Ordering and e-procurement
  • Biobanking/Cell culture
  • Support current research team with experimental procedures
  • Raise purchase orders and track and process the payment of invoices
  • Organise the transport of samples with industry partners
  • Liaise with clinical colleagues regarding patients samples
  • Maintain laboratory stocks and equipment

Qualifications

Applicants should have an interest in research and work well in a multidisciplinary group. Key techniques in this project include: cell culture, immunohistochemistry and ELISA. Applicants with a degree in a Biological Science subject or related field or practical skills are encouraged to apply.

Salary will be on the IUA Research Assistant salary scale at a point based on level of experience for 2 years.
